For those who don't get that chance in the winter, here's what it looked like this weekend. It was -17 and very windy. We stayed at Gros Morne Cabins with a view out to the lighthouse. P. Sanders, who was my professor at MacMaster, has retired from Duke. He is arguably the top New Testament scholar of our time. For the ride to St John's for the Tely Ten (see next post) we decided to take a break half way and stay at Joey Smallwood's home town of Gambo. I highly recommend The Freshwater Inn and Bistro. I managed to knock 6 minutes of my last year's time with a time of 75 minutes. I was helped along with my Forerunner 301, which among other things told me my pace.
